Car Crash Leaves Teen in Coma

Late last night, during the blizzard that caused widespread power outages, a car spun off the road on the outskirts of the Ridgemont suburban area, resulting in a crash that rendered the driver and single passenger severely injured and unconscious. Slowed by the storm, first responders did not arrive until early this morning. The driver, 43-year-old Rebecca Clarkson, was hospitalized with a fractured spine and multiple broken ribs, and her foster daughter of eight months—17-year-old Kira Singh—was placed in a medically-induced coma due to severe brain hemorrhage. At this time, medical professionals are unable to offer accurate predictions, but they expect Clarkson is likely to recover. No statement has been offered on Singh’s condition.
